I am a work in process,

Not a full work in progress;

In process for all the truths I'm learning and relearning,

All the facets of my true identity I'm growing back into,

The hurtful words once spoken that I've learnt to reject

As I run toward the plans God has for me.

I am a work in process,

Not a full work in progress;

In process for all the brokenness i stopped covering,

For the darkness I'm still trying to flee from,

For the heart's patterns i stopped feeding

As I'm stepping away from the surrounding confusion.

I am a work in process,

Not a full work in progress.

Progress is when you are on the move.

Process happens often in the desert.

Rushing ahead can surely lead me astray,

And also, often, to misunderstand and misbehave.

In the process of knowing God and myself,

There are things that are crushed,

There are things that are removed,

And new things that are being built...

Old things are moving out and passing away.

New things are being born or renewed...

I've not arrived yet.

My script is always being written.

The hard work is getting done in silence,

God, through Jesus, is revealing, healing, redirecting and nurturing me.

Progress often happens when God brings you where you belong

And models your character to keep you there;

And it can't be without walking with HIM, praying to Him, leaning on HIM,

And in that case, that's where the real process usually begins.
