Safe place... (Refuge)

Nous avons tous besoin d'un Safe Place...

There is no safe place in this world,

Except from the depth of knowing Jesus.

And when you roam alone through this wild world,

People tend to behave according to what you show.

They speak to you according to your wealth,

Never caring about what you are going through,

Willing only to fulfill their own interests,

Without considering whether you're empty or full.

Tears and genuine sincerity are seen as weakness,

while malice and wickedness are perceived as strength.

I've feared to be left alone in this world and I still do

For I know human beings are hard to be trusted.

It's sad to witness such behaviors among our people,

Those supposedly walking with the Lord.

This poem is not to judge but to express the need for a safe place:

A place where one feels welcomed, wanted, where one belongs.

Because everyone is running away from something,

Everyone is pursuing something,

Everyone needs a place to begin again,

A safe and sound place where one can breathe again.

Oh dear son, beloved and consecrated to the Father,

I wish to be that safe and sound ground for you,

So that when you feel overwhelmed by your battles,

You may turn around and come back home.
